So, yeah. My innards may not be fully functioning but it’s a fundraiser for hospice so I figured I had to at least try one.
Lots of chocolate chips and ricotta. The filling is made fresh each day by a local Italian bakery. Have to say it’s a tad rich although not overly sweetened. The crunch from a cannoli shell would add some texture that might cut a bit of the richness. It also might work well frozen. For some reason sometimes sweet things seem better frozen.
So it’s definitely a good variant donut but extremely rich.
