Those of you who'd know - I've been asked if there is anywhere in San Francisco or environs where you could shop/buy something like a Scottevest, but possibly even higher end?  Also, if you know of anyplace that you'd send a tech nerd for high end gadgetry shopping.

Things that make me feel better - coming up with nerdy names for Amy Young 's nail polish colors.  Today's edition: silly staining references.  Crystal Violet, Oil Red O, Sudan Black, Acridine Orange, Malachite Green, Coomassie Blue, Safranin Yellow, Gomori Silver, Fluorogold.  There are lots.

Everything tastes like zinc, or something.  Everything being tea and chicken broth and one attempt at bread with a little cheese melted on it.  But it's commercial chicken broth; there should be, like, a gazillion mgs of sodium in it, and yet I taste none.  If tasting metal made you better, I'd go out on the porch and start licking the railings right now.   #whinywhinyprincess

So, we got done early at work today.  Therefore, I constructively went downtown and had The World's Rarest Chocolate ( http://www.maranonchocolate.com/ ).  I'm quite sure it was in the hot chocolate, since it was part of http://www.cityfood.com/events/hotchocolate/ , but I don't know if it was in the side items, all of which were or contained chocolate. It was delicious.

Today is behaving, although the headache is back, albeit at a dull roar.  It occurs to me this may have something to do with the weather (brilliant insights R us).

So, the headache abated (thank the little gods).  And today failed to reach it's full misery potential (thanks for all the fish).  Modest misery, only.  We have an improvement!

The firings will recommence immediately.  In particular, the hollow despair of Sunday, the raging headache (and its friend, nausea) courtesy of today, and the pre-planned misery of tomorrow.  Gee, thanks for letting me know today so I could be prepared.  *wanders off muttering, holding head in pain"

This morning saved this week from being fired:  the surgery workshop happened, and people came.  Something I did actually worked.  We are now certified to implant the latest 1 x 0.3 mm devices.  Won't give specifics, as it might be squicky for some.  I'm sure those of you who know me can envision it.
