It does suggest the specific and deliberate ways a particular minority of Americans have been trying to force their theocracy on everyone else. Although they phrase it as modeling the slower secularization of the US versus Europe. Look surprised when I tell you one of the elements of this has to do with control of education and the deliberate prevention of exposure to other ideas. Of course, that's my wording and interpretation.
