I guess I was raised wrong, because I do not understand what has to happen to a person for their soul or whatever is inside them to become so harsh and cold and lacking in human feeling. He doesn't have to care, though, he retired.
(Yeah, this is ssdd from this administration and the career types who were unleashed by them. The new alarms my mother had installed are going off randomly in the middle of the night for no reason and I'm irritable, and pissed off and read the stuff about permanent separations and Lewandowski and am impotently angry at the world, right now.)
And he and his can stuff their gee, gosh, golly, why not go to a port of entry with the multiple reports that officials are turning people away at ports of entry and also refusing to honor claims of asylum, regardless.
Every crime committed by an illegal alien is a preventable crime but rates of crime (or type) don't matter? Like, if their contribution to the overall crime rate is negligible or insubstantial, we can justify redirecting public resources to this ridiculous effort instead of maybe addressing crime right here? How many crimes have we really prevented? Of what seriousness? I can't even deal with this kind of compartmentalization and false logic.
P.S. Just have to wonder what the stats are on potential for future criminal behavior, however minor, with children forcibly taken from their parents and then dumped into a system that isn't supposed to keep them but probably will and what happens when they hit 18 and have no citizenship here but don't know the places they are about to get deported to? Who takes responsibility for creating that potential misery?

Yes, but you see, they’ll be dumped at 18 on wherever they came from. Or Mexico if they don’t know where that was. So no impact on (US) crime stats at all!

ReplyDeleteF-L Silver I figured the exclamation mark would do, particularly in this crowd.
