Dinner - fresh frozen keta salmon from Sitka.

Dinner - fresh frozen keta salmon from Sitka. Marinated briefly in OJ, black pepper, onion and garlic powder; pan seared in olive oil, finished in oven.

Wild rice salad with green onions, toasted sliced almonds, fresh strawberries; dressing of OJ, olive oil, touch of honey, and black pepper.

Mushrooms from farmers market - cultivated and I completely forget what kind they are, but they are delicious - sauteed in olive oil and butter with minced garlic. Must find out what they are so I can specifically eat them again.

Very happy with salmon. The skin was all crispy and the fish was juicy. I do not know why this type of salmon is not supposed to be good eatin'. I did read up a bit to learn that it is less oily and should therefore be cooked differently than oilier salmon like sockeye or king, but it tastes fine, the texture is good. Idgi.
