So what does it say that I am actually afraid to tell my mother that my sister and niece invited me to hang out this weekend? On the upside, counseling has at least enabled me to recognize that I'm afraid? Yeah, really reachin', here.

    It says you know your mother has unreasonable reactions to standard actions and you don't want to deal with her psychosis. Perfectly reasonable for you.
