AHRQ generally does good and useful work that affects patient care. It sounds nice to say that we should get rid of "all that government stuff", but nobody else is doing a lot of it. Especially these days, when there is too much information changing too frequently for anyone to keep up with all of it, it is important to have places to go for summaries that are informed and thoughtful. They aren't perfect, you still have to read with a critical eye, but you just have to read one, not potentially hundreds of reports.
