In case you weren't angry enough today ... BUT the Attorney General is trying to do something about it, hence the reporting. The problem is that the system is clearly broken, and there is no consistency state to state. Also the whole attitude toward rape and rape victims.
Edit: Apologies. I should have pointed out that although it doesn't discuss particulars, the entire article is about what happens to rape victims when they seek medical care.
