There is something really wrong with this guy and there are a lot of questions. Not least of which is why is it that we never hear from Caitlin Coleman, his wife, and only from him?

  1. It's been three days (or maybe by now a week) since they were rescued by special forces, and that is soon enough to conclude "we never hear from" his wife? Of course there's something very wrong with all of them — five years of captivity will do that as well.

  2. I have no question that they are all traumatized, but I mean there's a smell test that's not right. He's very chatty, and very happy about what a great guy he was, going to Afghanistan. Something isn't right, though.

For one thing, who says the reason they had kids in captivity was their wife's clock was ticking? Ha ha. Who says that? So much wrong with that.

For another, if they were starved, tortured, and beaten, how come she only miscarried or had a child who died just once? I've seen abuse in a hospital setting after it's happened. If the woman or child doesn't die, they aren't perfectly happy and healthy. Sure, maybe this was that one miraculous situation where she had multiple pregnancies and multiple births under those circumstances and somehow, everybody is fine.

There is something wrong with this guy, the way he's acting, and the things he's saying. At least insofar as his attitude towards his wife.

I'm not a trauma expert (as in the psych side of things), so maybe this is some very weird reaction to trauma. But I'm not buying it at present.
