This story is sort of the inverse of today, but it's a story I remember making me very, very angry when I read it as a kid. I wanted to hurt those kids; I wanted to lock them in a hole forever. There was nothing bad enough to do to those kids. And the teacher, man, was I mad at that teacher. Reading this story as a kid was probably the closest I have ever come to actually hating.

What it does do, though, is capture the wonder of seeing the sun, of anticipating a cosmic event that is rare, and incredible.
