Fortunately, the professionals are there and doing their job, and lots of ordinary people are helping, too. He will get acceptable points for showing up and boosting people's morale. To be fair, that is something that people need, as well.

The bigger issues will be whether Congress can get an aid package together and passed without being jerks. By which I mean the GOP doesn't try to poison the well with something they know the Dems don't want stuck into whatever aid bill is proposed, just to make the Dems look bad. At which point, of course, he would happily tweet away and make things worse.

But he has met the minimal presidential standard (mps), which is the standard under which we are currently operating, so he'll get a pass on lacking human empathy.
