I am interested in the perspective of someone who may actually know about the Swedish healthcare system.

I am interested in the perspective of someone who may actually know about the Swedish healthcare system. I wonder whom I could ask ... :D

  1. Hokay, sooo... 1. We're wrestling a huge problem with inequality of care, and it's at least partly geographically based. It's less of a problem than in the US, sure, but we're aiming for equality. 2. Privately run hospitals and care centers do provide a valuable service, but they have a tendency to pick the good parts. The private MRI facility in town does perform complex examinations, like MRI of the liver with multiphase contrast, but all their patients are ambulatory. 3. Giving hospital administrators a chance to be in charge means professional autonomy has plummeted. I wouldn't want more central control, though. 4. Yeah, we're doing pretty damn well with objective and transparent evaluation criteria.
