A "chance encounter" between an asylum seeker and a journalist detailed to watch for asylum seekers? That seems like slightly strange phrasing.
ReplyDeleteClickbait phrasing. He says in the video that he was deliberately going to hang out in Manitoba around the border with a TV crew to try to talk to some people crossing if he happened to find anyone. Mind you, he might not have run into anyone, so that is random chance, if you like.
ReplyDeleteI just appreciate that, as far as the video goes, it shows that he pretty quickly decides to treat the guy as a human being and get him some help, even though he's using him as his story. And the RCMP guy is pretty humane, as well, and I don't think that's just because he's on video.
It also shows how scared and just human people are.
