Stephen Colbert did an interview on Face the Nation again, this year. A lot of good stuff. One of the things John Dickerson asked him was what 3 things from this year gave him joy.

The very last thing he said, after explaining it related to learning a very good friend had cancer, was that "the most joyful moment you could hear is that this person who you love will be with you so you can love them."

I'm probably taking that a little personally, right now, but I think that's a good thought. I wish some other people around here could hear it.
