So, I did not take a picture in the store, but it does not appear on line for some reason. What is that? A slightly larger than 4.5 LBS chocolate bar. Trader Joe is selling a 2000g chocolate bar in your choice of milk or semi-sweet. IT'S ENORMOUS. It's $15. For 2000g of chocolate. I can't even.

  1. OK, so the question is, is it good chocolate? Because that kind of brick was what I bought for our triple chocolate wedding cake.

  2. Well, the "pound and a half", which is 500g, is perfectly cromulent Belgian chocolate, so odds are not bad that it is good. I mean, it's not gonna be super high end couverture for that price, but if it is at the same level as the smaller huge bars, it's totally eatable.

  3. I had the thought that this would be perfect at a buffet set up with a veggie peeler or sharp knife to shave the giant bar into huge mugs that were then filled with steamed hot milk and whatever flavorings. Like peppermint oil or orange oil or whole spices of various sorts. Shots of liquor would even be available, like brandy or something.
