Ok, I have watched 1971 Willy Wonka way too many times, now. What else do you suggest as escapist fantasy without unbearably referential tones? I have been thinking about Wallace and Gromit, although I would prefer something with enough dialogue or music that I don't have to focus on watching it per se.

  2. Mel Brooks is good. Spinal Tap is awesome. I tried to do Princess Bride, which I used to love, and for some reason I just couldn't do it. Haha, The Pants, lol.

I have to look some of those up Michael Steeves, I don't think I know all the ones you mentioned.

  3. Singin' in the Rain is always my go-to for uplifting anti-depressant watching. It's not fantasy per se, but... well, come on, it is totally fantasy.
