  2. Investor/State Dispute Settlement. 'Impartial' board consisting of a couple of Top Men (Who?Top. Men.) who will judge cases brought by investors in companies, and judge whether new regulations will impact the potential profits the company might have had without such regulations. And then fine the state in question the difference. Basically it's like enforced complete laissez-faire except if you try to not laisse it, the people you're impacting get their money without even faire-ing anything.

  4. Well, tbh, I have yet to hear anyone articulate any convincing reason why ISDS is a good thing, or for that matter even an unconvincing I've. Or why it has to accompany each and every free trade agreement.

    The Walloons are almost certainly shitposting and any point they have is probably accidental, though.
