You know, all this huffing and puffing over the email server and whatnot really makes me wonder why the conversation we are having doesn't include re-establishing a functional office of science and technology and establishing proper standards for all the electronics used by our immense government.
I mean, apparently even non-"secret" government offices have critical information (like personal financial info, SSNs, etc.) that could be used to compromise government functions and employees. And seemingly they update neither hardware nor software at the cutting edge or even close to it. So it really doesn't surprise me in the least that State was so messed up that they didn't have secure servers and devices and procedures and protocols not only in place, but being monitored and vetted on a regular basis. It shouldn't have been possible for this to happen.
And there's legitimate info to suggest that a number of high ranking officials at State and probably elsewhere who have done similar or exactly the same things prior to Clinton. Yet again begging the question of why our security equipment, procedure, and protocols are so poor that this could even happen.
P.S. Congress is constantly handling info that is, was, or will be classified. Is there a wholesale management of their servers, devices, and electronic communications, at home, in DC, and everywhere else to protect and ensure that none of this is at risk? I'm betting no.

If they admitted to that, then they could maybe have spent all the millions of dollars investigating Clinton on improving and updating the record keeping systems of the VA, and that would be too much like actually governing.
