Holy cow.
Holy cow. They set up a mini stage OUTSIDE for Bernie Sanders to come outside and talk to the people who couldn't get in. I don't think I've ever seen anybody do that. He started by apologizing to them that there wasn't room for more than the 8500 who got in. This also means that the only TV station that has a crew outside is right in the middle of it, so you can hear the crowd (a little too much, the cheering is blowing the camera mike). It's a cross between a rally and a rock concert ("We love you, Bernie!").
He's giving a whole mini-rally speech. I hope his voice holds out when he goes back inside for the main show (where people are probably wondering why he isn't in there talking).
ReplyDeleteAh, they set up a big screen outside so they can watch the main speech. And they have somebody inside doing the whole warm-up thing. It sounds a lot like the 60's in there.
ReplyDeleteI think I'm glad I didn't go. I'd be deaf, already.
ReplyDeleteThese people could out shout Seattle Seahawks fans.
