So tight locked.
So tight locked.
Wow. Mom just actually earned a full "Fuck you, Bitch." Which I of course did not say. I did say "That was the wrong answer." But she just brushed it off.
I ... don't even know if it really matters what the details are, here. I just don't.
Screw it, I need to vent.
Mom: "Sorry I ruined your day."
Me: "That's ok, I'll just ruin one of yours in the future." In an obviously joking tone, facial expression, and body attitude. Ha ha.
Mom: "You've already ruined several." Not joking. At all.
When called on it, she tried to recover by saying, "Well, I was half-joking." Reeeeaaally. And you think that makes it better? Especially since you weren't (joking) and now you're trying to cover that up by, frankly, lying to assuage some social convention, or fear of being judged, or one of your internal anxiety/perfection demons, or because you know exactly what you just did. Actually, I don't care. That was complete and utter shit. Honey, you have NO IDEA what ruined is.
P.S. Dad started bleeding again early this morning so needed to go to an emergency MD appt this am. Mom woke me up and asked if I could go with him. She supposedly could have rearranged what she was doing this am to go with him. What she was doing has to do with her brother, who she arranged to have surgery yesterday and was taking to his post-op today.
Which sounds like what's the big deal? Except this is the brother she got herself involved with against all common sense and anything anyone in the family would have supported because he's an abusive narcissist who is now also demented. And instead of trying to find someone else to deal with him and her helping my dad, she's helping him and asking me to help my dad. And if you think there isn't a dynamic of who does she choose in a crisis, I'm not being sufficiently clear. (She knows none of us will have anything to do with the uncle so she knew not to ask me to help with that.)
Her anxiety and passive aggressive problems prevent her from simply saying "thank you for going with your dad to the doctor". Thus, the "sorry I ruined your day" bit. And yes, I know the game is that I'm supposed to say something like "oh, no, not at all, I was so happy to be able to help, thank you." But I get to say whatever the hell I want to, because it's an honest reply. And if that reply had been completely shitty on my part, she would have felt completely free to rip into me, because that's what she does with her super healthy coping mechanisms.
So, yeah. That earns a full fuck you, with added bitch. I can't even begin to think of what to do with how angry I am. Ruined your day. Several, even. You have NO idea what you just did.
