I did not have to decide whether or not to go on the ice hike on the lake tomorrow. The rangers decided that -35F wind chills were not conducive to the good health of participants and have cancelled said hike. They said that this weather has, indeed, created a lovely section of ice formations near to shore, but they are hoping visibility will be such that they can be seen from the windows in the park building. Maybe I will go next year.
