Based on the date this was very recent. My first reaction was to think that's really cool, until I thought about the fact that this is not way off-shore. It's in Vancouver, so that water is only so deep. Plus, at first I thought they meant an Orca, because that's usually what people mean colloquially by whale in that area, but that's a real whale whale. This particular spot isn't the shipping channels, it's an area where people swim and boat, but it would have to have crossed the shipping channels with the big container ships. So I'm really torn between that's cool, and I hope that whale is ok.
