Well, they seem to have learned from the snowpocalypse in November and pre-emptively closed the Thruway (I-90) and a few other things last night. The snow dumping seems to be shifting around and such, but it also seems to be a normal sort of one, so maybe it will just be a normal pain in the neck, esp since they paid attention, this time. Wind is still vicious, so not just eating temperature, but contributing to drifting and whiteouts. It's a respectably sized system, extending to Cleveland. Sadly, we are losing our second digit and will be back to one very soon. The temperatures aren't typical, but otherwise, this is what you get when the Lakes haven't frozen. How'd you like that warm December now, huh? Huh?!

I always worried when we had a warm fall for just that reason. When the lake doesn't freeze, as soon as a cold snap hits, BAM!.
