Isn't that special. Random commentators are saying that the current risk is low. Does the President feel the need to prep us for sending in ground troops? Or, you know, manipulate the public by scaring us, just in case. I may be cynical.
Besides, what are you going to do with ground troops? Is that going to make it more likely you can find where the weapon is, that you can take it away before they blow it up? Has that ever worked? Wouldn't it be better to try and figure out how you are going to prevent them from getting to the having a nuclear weapon stage? Not that I think that always works well.
I am suspicious of presumably random, presumably off the cuff statements that come in pairs (or more, there's still time). First of all, Presidents shouldn't make random off the cuff statements. Second of all, I rarely believe that anything most Presidents say is off the cuff. So why are we sending ground troops?
