  1. I don't mind the color pink (though it's no favorite), but I'm definitely not fond of the way it gets used, in gendered toys and gendered marketing, in general.

(My brother, catching up to me once when I was in a section devoted to shaving products aimed at women: "It's so... pastel.")

  2. The Barbie-vomit motif of the girls' toy aisles bugs the crap out of me, there's no denying it, but it bugs me even more when they try to make it "okay" for boys to play with "girl toys"(like kitchen playsets) by making blue versions. JUST MAKE IT PRIMARY-COLORED LIKE THEY USED TO, ASSHOLES. Somehow that irritates me even more than the pink toolbenches, which since those make me want to light things on fire, it's probably a good thing I don't have kids and therefore don't spend much time in toy aisles.

(Amanda Rose I buy my razors in the men's department purely because I can't cope with that much yuck.)
