Words I swear people make up because they think jargon is a lost art their language skills are poor: "electronify".
Words I swear people make up because they think jargon is a lost art their language skills are poor: "electronify". Used in a sentence: "Electronify your referrals and save time." They could protonify or neutronify them, but I don't think that would really help, either. Then again, leptonify would be more inclusive and encompass the electron approach.

OK, that one actually hurts.
ReplyDeleteBetter than electronificate, though.
ReplyDeleteWell, I could at least conflate that they might have been pontificating about electronic communications. Then again, electronification sounds like the forced imposition of charge on neutral particles.
ReplyDeleteIf I had to guess what a person meant by "electronification", I think I would conclude they were talking about the Transistor Transition and the scope creep of electronics away from niche uses and into ubiquity.
