Why let facts get in the way of a little indoctrination and imaginary nostalgia?

Why let facts get in the way of a little indoctrination and imaginary nostalgia? We all know there was never any objectification, abuse, or slavery of women (especially not for sex, gasp!) before 1960.

He's also been quoted elsewhere as saying that religion is why we don't have slavery - I'm guessing he missed the whole religion as justification for slavery thing. Inconvenient historical documentation, that.

He also says the only reason women have the right to vote is - you guessed it - Jesus! Yep, sure, that's why. In fact, I'm waiting to hear him explain how Evangelicals (see: white) and Christians are the only reason anything good ever happened. The definition of "good" being modified as needed.

I swear living in Missouri was more traumatic than living in North Carolina.
