So, uh, yeah. I would really like to respect people as individuals, and not collaterally smear them with a wide brush. However, I saw the televised Melania speech and I could not shake a sense that this was her Miss America Platform speech, and not in a sincere way. Like, no wonder she didn't have a career as a spokesmodel. Sincerity does not ooze from her pores. To her credit, she used longer words than her husband generally does.

Plus, something immediately jarred my ear when she threw in that 'dream it, become it' business, but I couldn't place why. It just immediately made me think someone was cut and pasting again. Which, you know, if you credit the source is fine. Ha-ha, yeah. I finally realized that it sounded like one of those motivational posters.
