The squid ink dishes I've had have tasted very fishy to me, and not in a good way. More like shellfish that is almost past it's date, so to speak, so I am gun shy.
I am sure I've had squid ink in something or other at a Darkfriend Dining Club dinner, but for the life of me I cannot find evidence of it or remember what it was.
In which case, it was definitely underwhelming.
So yeah, I'd try it, but I wouldn't cross the street to get it.

ReplyDeleteI've had squid ink pasta in an Italian preparation and I didn't notice any difference except the color...but this looks next level.
