Aside from ragey flailing, I thought there was case law establishing that society gets to have an overriding interest about not abusing children by withholding appropriate and necessary medical attention? This child needs to be vaccinated.
What are we supposed to do? Wait until he dies? Fat lot of good waiting for that will do, not to mention who pays for his treatment and what if he ends up with long term disability? How can this possibly be ok? Parents who let their children refuse chemo for cancer have been dragged before the courts and chemo is terrible to go through. But it’s ok for parents to do this because of stubborn superstitious nonsense and we’re all ok with it? Wtaf??

Sorry , I should have been clearer. I want to hear that the state of Oregon has the courts and CPS all over this family and they are going to mandate vaccines and medical care that’s age and risk appropriate. Because it also sounds like they sutured him up at home and just no.
