Why on earth would people waste time and money trying to recover his body?
Why on earth would people waste time and money trying to recover his body? He died doing what he wanted to do, knowing he was putting himself and others at risk (the impoverished fishermen he paid to take him there, who are in legal trouble). This is a waste of government and taxpayer time, money, and resources.

ReplyDeleteHe died doing what he wanted to do, knowing he was putting himself and others at risk (the impoverished fishermen he paid to take him there, who are in legal trouble).
ReplyDeleteMore importantly, those tribesmen, who did not volunteer to take the risk. Lack of disease resistance is a bit of a thing.
Oh, well, he was going to save their souls before they died of disease.
ReplyDeleteExactly. Plus they are then potentially carrying the diseases that they claim the islanders have no immunity for.
ReplyDeleteThis guy was stupid, he did a stupid thing, people shouldn’t follow his stupidity by stupidly wanting to get his body back. There’s a lot of risk with very little reward.
