Maid of the Mist’s crew feel the pain of tighter U.S. visa policy

Canadian members of crew said they were let go after being told the company could not obtain seasonal visas for them.

What the hell? These are skilled jobs where experience matters. You can't just hire some random Amurrican to do this job. Fewer captains means fewer trips means less money means ripples through the company and the surrounding tourism.

I know this stuff is complicated, but jiminy christmas, could we maybe have people who can handle something more complex than velcro setting and running our policies instead of ignorant ideologues?
