One of many reasons I could never be ok with the Catholic church.

One of many reasons I could never be ok with the Catholic church. (The Church formerly known as the Mormons isn't covering itself with glory in regards to public announcements and policies right now, either.) Basically, I am not big on organized religion, especially not when it's all conservative, chauvinist, and misogynist. The problem is these are large, influential organizations and the beliefs (good or bad) they promote get into the public discourse and into the civil society and laws. (I know they didn't write it into the Constitution, but there are many reasons to keep church and state separated.)
