The Nazis were brilliant bureaucrats who had a mission to eliminate anyone they thought didn't belong in the population. They had all kinds of current science and data and public records and people voted them into office and were very happy about getting rid of undesirables.
Knowing what China is doing right now with your citizenship score and not even tracking DNA to control and wipe out entire populations should make it clear that large scale eugenics/genocide/whatever you want to call it is still happening in the world.
The Trump administration is exactly the kind of people who would claim they were using DNA to reunite children separated from their parents if they could figure out how to do that. Only then they'd give it to ICE and other law enforcement and hunt entire families down. While claiming it was all to keep "us" safe.
P.S. Note the historic irony of the fact that eugenics, while no longer considered 'science', is the root of our modern genetics. The field wouldn't exist without it. That alone should serve as a flashing neon sign with a screaming siren warning about this.
