There is a chance that the Democrats will have an opening to compete in the district, but the avid Trump supporters will vote for Collins anyway because they will believe that this is all a frame up/witch hunt and he will be cleared and get to keep his seat in the House, eventually.
Of course, there's still almost 3 months to the election and anything could happen.
