Have I mentioned my mother? She called me on the phone from downstairs and said, "Your father can't see." So I said ok, I'll come down and see what's going on. Tl;dr he was sleeping in a chair in the living room and got startled awake from deep sleep and did, it seems, say he could not see.
Because there were no lights on and it is dark out.
Mind you, my mother did not wait for this revelation. However, I should know that she was not at all concerned and definitely not upset. She just thought she should call me.
Not enough aunty faces in the world.
P.S. After clearing up this little drama, she told me I should get a job. Honest to god. So. Much. Pathology.
