    I suppose this could be unexpectedly brilliant, but I expect basically nothing.

    Have some fucking confidence in the genre, in the milieu, and its ability to say something new and relevant against an established background. Don't just endlessly recycle previously popular actors and characters. (Especially actors, but I'm a little skeptical about Spock on Discovery, too.)

    It's two parts lazy and one part insulting.
