Wait. There's an actual person called the Manhattan Madam? Who greenlit this production? (I had to look this up because this is the absolute worst adaptation of a novel that just inexplicably introduces new characters all the time.)
Kristin Davis (actual name of Madam) is connected to Roger Stone because he was named as her campaign manager when she ran for governor of New York in 2010. At the same time as he helped Michael Caputo with Carl Paladino's campaign.
If you've forgotten, Caputo was interviewed by Mueller already and blames the left for ruining his life and losing his home because it's really flipping expensive to lawyer up when you're being interviewed by a Special Counsel. Or something like that. He worked on the Trump campaign at one point. Also previously worked for Gazprom to work for Putin on his PR in the US. Also something something Ukraine. He was mentored by Roger Stone. (For fun, Caputo's first wife was Russian. They met while he was working and living in Russia. His second wife is Ukrainian. Why make this boring? All the tropes nobody would believe if you put them in a movie.)
