I think you mean Nunes Escalates War on Media. Apparently, if you ever question anything about him (that friend's winery he invested in yacht party with the sex and drugs) , in fact, even if you say nice things about him (interviewing his neighbors who were apparently pretty complimentary), he reserves the right to get pissed off at you and spend campaign dollars trying to shut down a small, local newspaper. While he and his campaign continue to run their own "media/news company" that spreads vitriol, propaganda, and disinformation.
I'm not sure when we get to stop arguing whether comparisons to the authoritarian playbook are tiresome, but when politicians run their own media outlets while spending campaign money to attack independent media outlets, I think we have a problem.
The fact that he spends money and is having public hissy fits makes it pretty clear that he is very not "immune to this".
