But wait, there's more! Blackberry tart with lactose free pastry cream - lactose free milk, no butter. I was pretty pleased with how thin and crispy the crust came out - yay, blind baking! Meanwhile, we were down a few blackberries because people kept eating them out of hand because they are just that tasty. Still managed to mostly cover the tart, though.

  1. Any time I see a tart like this, I remember the one my mom brought over one year for my birthday that had a thin layer of chocolate lining the crust before adding the cream. Not only did it prevent the crust from getting soggy over time, it had the most subtly rich flavor from the chocolate that I couldn't place until I basically started dissecting the pie to figure it out.
