The miserable tree rats are picky about which fruit they want the nut from. So they taste it. They taste all the fruit until they get one they like and then they rip that one apart and take the pit and eat it. Those are squirrel bites (and scratches). Filthy beasts. It's not enough that they break branches and destroy whole pieces of fruit to get the pits. No, they have to contaminate EVERYTHING.
Disgusting.
