Someone mentioned the disappearing of people in relation to taking the children at the border. It finally registered on me that what this is, is like the Residential Schools and other such programs that occurred all over the English speaking world in an active policy to assimilate and wipe out native and indigenous peoples.
Yes. Historically every single one of those programs has now been indicted for various forms and degrees of abuse. Yes, many if not most of the children had problems that continue to affect multiple generations of people.
This is what they are doing by separating those children and making sure there's no way to reunite them with their parents.
