I made pizza.
I made pizza. I was lazy and used store dough because I wanted to try the whole wheat dough. Not really a surprise that it was kind of dry.
The pizza on the left has a 'sauce' of san marzano tomatoes, good anchovies, garlic, and fresh basil, w/ a bit of olive oil. It's kind of a bruschetta, except more finely chopped. On top are marinated mushrooms I made with creminis, balsamic vinegar, olive oil, garlic, fresh savory, fresh thyme.
The pizza on the right is a cooked tomato sauce I made last fall from yellow heirloom tomatoes, garlic, leeks, and yellow zucchini. I reduced it down so it is very thick and sweet and spreadable. Otherwise, fresh torn basil leaves.
Both have fresh mozzarella on top.
