Cute.

Cute. He did apply ahead and was denied. So he came by anyway, because he was visiting other places, to which he also applied ahead and which did not refuse permission. In that context, the statement from HHS, while clearly pro-forma verbiage, is also grossly disingenuous.

He's a freaking senator, folks. He would have had ID. It's bizarre that the people running the place didn't come by and talk to him and say, gee, I'm sorry, we can't do this. No, they called the police, on an official of the US government doing US government business. In the current climate, I do not think it is unreasonable to wonder if they would have done the same to a republican senator or a Texas senator. They might, but there's enough craziness for reasonable paranoia.

  1. Trick question - no Republican Senator would have bothered with an inspection on the wealfare of brown kids, and Texas does not elect Senators who care about brown kids.
