However, her latest statement from the hospital includes a $413 charge for an "appeal denied."
I mean, that is some gall. The hospital charged her for challenging a claim. That takes special anatomy, that does. And no, it's not a charge because the appeal was denied, it's because it was appealed, even though that's how it sounds.
They're essentially charging her the administrative costs for having to keep dealing with this while it was being appealed. They might have charged this even if it was successful. Which it sounds like it was. And yet this charge is there. The mind boggles.
