Well. That explains that. There's a link to the actual proposed rule at the beginning of the article. It's a fun read. By which I mean it's long and convoluted and painful to try and logic through. Fortunately, The Atlantic kind of did a precis.
It's fairly clear that this is specifically the interested industries and friends going after an old Harvard study. Not that I have any love lost for some of what Harvard has done (fat vs. sugar, anyone?), but apparently this has been a sort of holy grail of the industry to get rid of for decades.
