Mike Shields thinks it's an excuse to say that Donald Trump doesn't even know what what he's tweeting means. He also doesn't consider "breeding" to be a dog whistle. This is the leadership of the GOP. Well, he's in charge of a PAC, now, I guess, that backs the GOP. A difference without a distinction.
A white man with money and power is ignorant of the history of "breeding" being a reference against immigrants. And thinks ignorance is an excuse. Personally, I think Trump knows exactly what he is saying. It's exactly what plays to his base and the worst possible strains of our history and culture. As long as the white guys hang together, I guess, with the occasional token female, or poc or non (white) evangelical or non-christian.
