Don't ditch the condoms at all unless you are absolutely sure that both of you (all of you?) are tested and disease free. Upticks in many age groups in many sexually transmitted diseases keep occurring. Many of them are resistant to treatment, some cannot be cured, only managed. Not to mention fun new things like Zika to add a little exotic rarity.
