I don't know if David Letterman knew this when he used this as his closing quote as recipient of the Mark Twain prize, but Trump tweeted this same quote several years ago. I suspect they mean very different things by it since Trump was complaining about Obama and the GOP run Congress when he posted, and now we have the GOP run amok and Trump himself.
