I knew the wildfires had been bad in British Columbia this year, and then I heard they had hit Waterton Lakes, which is contiguous with Glacier National in the US. I don't recall hearing anything about major fires there, but it turns out there were, and are still. I suppose that info got overshadowed by all the hurricanes. Meanwhile, there's been significant damage and it sounds like they are basically just waiting for more snow and rain to finally put the fires out completely. This really has been the September of disasters.

In that picture, you are looking at a spot about 20? yards from where my mother got married in 2000. She has been very upset the whole past month.
ReplyDeleteWell, that's not terrifying. #sarcasm
ReplyDeleteIt is very freaky to recognize all the places I've been in that park that have been or are on fire.
